Ana Cecilia Garza (1980)
En el 2004 recibe el título de Arquitecto por el Tecnológico de Monterrey, Campus Monterrey y en el 2005 el grado de Maestría en Urbanismo por el IAAC, Instituto de Arquitectura Avanzada de Cataluña en Barcelona, España.

MOMA Museum of Modern Art
Se desempeñó profesionalmente como investigadora de estrategias urbanas en la APDUNL Agencia para el Desarrollo Urbano de Nuevo León en el Gobierno del Estado de Nuevo León, México (2003-2004).
De forma profesional participó en el Área de Obras Patrimoniales de la empresa Villacero en Monterrey, México (2005-2008).
Ha expuesto proyectos arquitectónicos en diversas universidades, foros y exposiciones de arte y diseño enMéxico, Chile, Perú, España, Italia, Francia, Alemania, Noruega, Brasil, Argentina y Estados Unidos. En México se destacan su participación en la VIII Bienal Monterrey FEMSA, en fotografía quedando finalista y participando en exposiciones en el Centro de las Artes en Monterrey y en el Museo del Exclaustro de San Ildelfonso en la Ciudad de México.
En 2006 participa en el desarrollo de diversos proyectos de arquitectura social para la publicación de un catálogo de vivienda emergente por parte del FOECA del Instituto de Cultura del Estado de Durango y en el 2007 para la publicación de un libro sobre vivienda emergente y social en Monterrey, México por parte del Fondo Editorial de Nuevo León y el Tecnológico de Monterrey.
Fue profesor de Taller de Arquitectura en el Tecnológico de Monterrey, y ha sido profesor de Arquitectura en el CEDIM Centro de Estudios Superiores de Diseño de Monterrey y la UDEM Universidad de Monterrey.
En el 2022 fue profesor invitado William Stern del Gerald D. Hines College of Architecture and Design de la Universidad de Houston en Estados Unidos.
Actualmente es arquitecta activa del grupo S-AR ejerciendo su profesión de forma independiente desarrollando proyectos de diversas tipologías y escalas arquitectónicas.

Ana Cecilia Garza (1980)
She earned a Masters degree in Urban Planning at the IAAC Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (Barcelona, Spain – 2005), the title of architect in the ITESM (Monterrey Institute of Technology) Campus Monterrey (Monterrey, Mexico – 2003).
She worked professionally as a researcher on urban strategies APDUNL Urban Development Agency of Nuevo Leon in the state government of Nuevo Leon, Mexico (2003-2004). She was professionally involved in the construction area of Villacero Company in Monterrey, Mexico (2005-2008).
She has been professor at the School of Architecture at ITESM (Monterrey Institute of Technology), the School of Architecture at the UDEM (University of Monterrey) and at the CEDIM (Design Center of Monterrey).
In 2022 she was recipient of the William Stern Visiting Professorship – Fall 22 Arch Topic Vertical Studios at the Gerald D. Hines College of Architecture and Design, University of Houston.
She was a finalist for the exhibition Home Delivery: Fabricating the Modern Dwelling at MoMA Museum of Modern Art (New York, U.S.A. – 2007), won 1st. Place in National Competition «Bicentennial Elementary School» (Mexico City, Mexico – 2008), an Honorable Mention in the International Competition «Possible Cities» organized by ARPAFIL (Guadalajara, Mexico – 2009), 1st. Place in the XXI Cemex Building Award 2012 (Monterrey, Mexico – 2012), the Design Vanguard Award by Architectural Record for emerging architects (New York, U.S.A. – 2013), selected to represent Mexico for the BAL – Latin-American Biennial of Architecture (Pamplona, Spain – 2015), the Emerging Voices Award by The Architectural League of New York (New York, U.S.A. – 2016) and her work has been selected to be part of the Mexico´s Pavilion in the 15 and 16 Mostra Internazionale di Architettura di Venezia – 15th and 16th International Architecture Exhibition at the Venice Biennale (Mexico – Italy, 2016 / 2018), selected to participate in the XX Chilean Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism (Valparaiso, Chile, 2017) and at the eleventh edition of the Momentum Biennale – MOMENTUM 11 – HOUSE OF COMMONS (Moss/Jeløya, Norway, 2021).
Her work has been part of the exhibition series of Monoambiente, Gallery of Design and Architecture (Buenos Aires, Argentina) and of the exhibitions program of LIGA, Space for Architecture, Mexico City (Mexico City) among others.
